GameSpot have released this video with Ken Balough, the Sonic 4 Brand Manager, announcing the upcoming release of Sonic 4 Episode 2

In the trailer and interview it appears that the following is revealed:

• Tails is included in Ep2
• New graphics and physics engines are utilized
• Sonic can no longer stick to walls as in Ep1
• The uncurling problem has been fixed
• Metal Sonic returns

All of these features sound like the makings of a great original-style Sonic game, while many fans are excited about this release there some that are put off by the additional news that this release will not be made available for the Wii. Most speculators in the community believe that this is due to the 40MB download limit that Nintendo place on their downloadable content.

Due to this many are hoping that the new Nintendo console "Wii U" will have this release downloadable. Also Sonic Stadium have noticed that the title is now listed in the Xbox 360 arcade but does not cite a co-op mode which is what the fans immediately think of when they hear of a classic Sonic game with tails. (Although this doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't going to be one).

As far as a release date goes all we know is "sometime in 2012" which is the same that we know about the Wii U at present.
